Decontamination Station

by Kristina Kelly

you've gone absolute zero
no active galactic nuclei
we lost our binary star system
constellation consolation prize
I tried to get my shields up
but I'm tired like a brown dwarf
your judgment laser blasters
push me into the event horizon
thrusters at full escape gravitation pull
your forward viewer filter locked
you can't see the fusion frequency
while I'm firepower for quasars
you act like you're the galaxy core
I see the observation beacon blink
catch the photons in my solar sail
I've got to reach decontamination station
rid my ship of your corrosive alien spores
