This Night Has a Thousand Eyes

by Alexis Child

The lost man unlearns his past
Strange and damp beneath the tomb
Take cover! The evil was good
Strange and luminous among the graves
The devil is dying
Bizarre! You feel quiet witches below the sky

Escape! The evil will be born
Weird and desirous beside the flowers
Repent! The end is fleeing
So scared before the sky
Beware! There are colorful ghosts over the mist

The insanity will die
Sinful and huge before the spirits
Poisoned under the shadows
I taste scary shivas among the gods
Alack! The demon has vanished
Beware! The day shall flee

You stroke sensuous ghouls above the gods
Can you dig it? The Queen will vanish
trusting, hopeful
fading slowly
no words left
Where in the end
the face in your mirror
forgets to go home
when the world was new

Her fiction has been featured in The House of Pain, Lost Souls, Screams of Terror, Sinistercity, SpecFicWorld.com, The Official Nephilim Site, and U.K.'s Dark Of Night Magazine.
