Resolved With a Whimper

by Robin B. Lipinski

I do, I really do!
I would never, ever…
I couldn't
I shouldn't

What did you say?
A planet sunny and warm?
Filled with oceans, birds, fish, animal, people?

You say no one owns it?
It has not been claimed?
It's wide open?

But, I shouldn't
I couldn't
I would never, ever…

I made a resolution never again to destroy…
I signed a contract with blood
I have an obligation

Sigh

I can't help it…

BANG! CRASH! BOOM!
And there it went.
Another planet, this one once called Earth,
dead without a whimper,
while another Titan breaks another
New Time
Resolution.

Literally, The End
