A Photon’s Flight

by Richard Tornello

CCD captures more than known.
Photon’s flight, held, broken up
as different charges against
A black hole;
the information is lost.
Except as a photo-n to behold and
lost too, forever, that bit of
you, that was that photon’s
Message,
That slice of time and being.

Lost to all the world.
An emptiness in the history of
You
So many slices digitally,
Exposed, till no more you.
Exits from the record.
Large empty sectors and
For some?
Their whole life is digital.

“How am I to make a decision?”
The gatekeep asks.
