A Ripple in My Mind

by Richard Tornello

A ripple in space-time
A ripple in my mind.
Intrusion-transition, from one to another
Felt the brane within the brain:
Sidled, osmosis, melding.

Not a solid, not a gas, not liquid;
a membrane, a film sidling in its vertical axis.
A wall, a barrier in time-space.

Caught it, woke instantaneous!
Recognized for what it was.
To capture in that time-space
Instantly-writ-not-to-lose.
Otherwise,
Like a midsummer night’s dream.

The dream world revealed, the door left open, if for a second
The transition witnessed then absorbed.

Woe to the lazy mind, gift offered and sleep declined.
