Once Upon a Time

by Richard Tornello

Animal skin adorned, glaciers encroaching.
Fire, a precious commodity, pushed from fields to caves.
Life was tough.

Leather seats, leather coats, ocean rising.
Oil, a precious commodity, air conditioned living.
Life is precarious.
