Millions Of Years Into The Future

By Denny E. Marshall

The time machine is completed. The professor and a few invited quests board with limited provisions. Once the hatch is sealed, the professor moves the dial into place and locks. Chris who the professor had doubts about bringing along moves around in the cramped quarters. He accidentally bumps and breaks the level, jamming the locking mechanism. The setting is struck at maximum forward. Attempts to move the level back are futile. While out the ports all could view the next tens of millions of years of time. They ran out of food and water in a few weeks and starved.
