Short Employment Stint

By Denny E. Marshall

As Leroy digs up the fresh grave, the doctor stands beside him with a dolly. Times have been tough lately and Leroy has been unable to find work.

He met the doctor at a bar, both of them having too much to drink. While at the bar, the discussion took an unusual turn when he offered him an employment opportunity. Leroy did not think he would resort to grave robbing but the doctor’s offer is too good to refuse. Leroy has bills that need to be paid. The doctor only wants bodies that have been buried less than forty-eight hours.

Leroy hears the shovel hit the casket. The doctor jumps in with him too help break the seals. When they open the lid, both of them freak out when the corpse gets up and says, “Thank you gentleman.” Then drains both of their blood.
