Angel

by Amanda Baxter

With angel eyes,
And a baby face,
It's no surprise,
She's out of grace.

Out in a big world,
Lost and alone,
Out she was hurled,
To be on her own.

She wanders on all day and night,
She holds her hopes and dreams,
Though she'll try with all her might,
You'll always hear her screams.

All the pain in her eyes,
All the fake laughter in her voice,
You'll never see her cries,
Of this you have no choice.

She hides from everyone,
She doesn't know what to do,
She just can't get passed this one,
Just can't make it through.

She's tired of holding on,
She's tired of trying,
She's tired of being gone,
She's tired of all the crying.

She's just an angel baby,
She's tired of the pain inside,
She thinks that, maybe,
She can put the pain aside.

She's just an angel girl,
With no one around,
She's giving life a whirl,
And she's falling to the ground...
