Ghost Box, by Charlie Williams

I enjoyed this story.

Probably should just cut the first four paragraphs, however. A much shorter on ramp will do. All we need to know is: priest, driving, cellphone rings. The story starts there.

I appreciate your feedback, Cary. I can see how some of the background in the first four paragraphs could be worked into the story as the action unfolds. The call from Father O'Hare would have been a good hook to begin the story. Thanks for the advice, and I'm glad you enjoyed "The Ghost Box"!

I, too, enjoyed this story. I thought it had a vaguely Poe-esque feel to it, and it was a great concept--the Catholic Church both wanting to destroy a device that threatens its faith and wants to control such a device. The last paragraph gave the story a sweet ending that kept it from being too bitter. Well done
