Very simple Sci-Fi Flash. Your story didn't break any new ground in terms of twists but was pleasantly amusing in terms of fulfilling the trope and the dictates of flash fiction. This is a solid journeyman flash fiction piece. A handful of flash like this is a good way to whittle a way a break at work or a wait for the wife to get dressed to go out. I liked it.

I agree with you in that it's a simple, straightforward, and pleasant story. It made me feel for the robot and I wanted it to be okay at the end. The smidge of militaristic appeal in this piece makes me partial to it.
