Blameless by Elizabeth Einspanier

This poem hits you in your gut - kind of what a poem is supposed to do. I wonder if the author read the original story in the paper, or if she knew someone who felt guilty... I have a friend who killed himself and I can see him in this poem, asking those left behind not to blame themselves. Interesting.
Since the house is on fire - at least let us warm ourselves.
