November issue; long fiction

The November issue should be up within the next several days (as early as Sunday, but probably a couple of days after that)... How's about a few more comments?

Long-fiction submissions have been rather light lately, so if you have any 7,500+ word stuff that is ready for review, please send it to serials@aphelion-webzine.com. No backlog!

Well now!

The only time I wanted to submit an official story, at that time the Shorts were heavily backlogged. Lately I've been in a Short Attention Span mindset, but if there's likely to be an opening in the Long category, I might begin to plot something for Issue-After-Next.

I haven't written to 7500 words in a long while, but I do know that my "Short" length is easily over 3000, so with a sub-theme I might discover a home in the Long section.

Thanks for the tip!

Alas, McCamy Taylor did not receive any new submissions she felt were ready for prime time...

The November issue should be online tonight, provided that Rob Wynne's internet connection rises from the dead. (Hey, I just watched
"American Horror Story" on FX Canada (we're about 3 weeks behind FX) -- part 1 of the Halloween double episode, so things rising from the dead are on my mind.)

Be afraid -- be very afraid.

That magical realism story is over 10k, but it's not a 100% ready sadly.
