Wandering Ole Willow Richard H. Fay

The time has come for Revenge of the Trees!

Sounds like we need a few of these in the Amazon!

Re: Wandering Ole Willow Richard H. Fay

Indeed.

Wasn't thinking of the Amazon, though, when I wrote "Wandering Ole Willow". I was thinking of Tolkien's Old Man Willow, the anthropomorphic oak in Faeries by Brian Froud and Alan Lee, and this:
"Ellum do grieve,
Oak he do hate,
Willow do walk
If yew travels late."
(From a Somerset folksong, according to Katharine Briggs in The Fairies in Tradition and Literature.)
"I'm going to do what the warriors of old did. I'm going to recite poetry!"
