"Beauty", said the Beast by Errett Williams

Wow. Profoundly creepy.

A few punctuation errors, and a little too much telling vs showing, but otherwise quite powerful.

Reminiscent of old Twilight Zone shows. Well done.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?

I agree with Lester on this one. It did remind me of the old Twilight Zone; especially one episode in which Gig Young played.

In that episode one could pick the face he/she wanted when he/she came of age. However, the girl that the episode was centered around must have had a medical condition, for her change didn’t work. She remained the same, I think. It's been over fifty-years since I've seen that episode, for I must have missed that re-run on the Twilight Zone marathons that run on the Sci-Fi channel sometimes.

I don't think this story was a copy.

Nice one! :D

Yeah, I thought this was a good read. It was very twiglight zone-y. I'd like to see it on T.V. with James Kirk as the dad, maybe even Denny Crane...yeah, I can see it all now.
Since the house is on fire - at least let us warm ourselves.
