The Sky Above Pandemonium by Sergei Servianov

Entertaining, but mildly confusing -- which is to be expected, I guess. I just wonder what this thing is that the author has about masculinity in women . . . for me, at least, it doesn't add anything to the story. Maybe it's supposed to be atmosphere for the setting: "This is the future, where men are manly, and the women are, too!"
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?
