Best of 2010

My favorites of the past year were The Tin City Good Deal, The Last Concerto, and Darkhall. P.S. - I didn't voted for any of my stories, although I thought Turning Out The Lights was a good choice by Robert - especially when it was published close to Xmas - peace on Earth and all that.
Since the house is on fire - at least let us warm ourselves.

Re: Best of 2010

Much gratitude to the editors for choosing my poem "Cigar" for inclusion in the list -- and for all the other hard work they do to make this such a great e-zine.

I am humbly honored.

Re: Best of 2010

I'm pleased that "Howling on the Moor" was chosen for inclusion in "The Best Poetry and Filk Music of 2010". Thanks!

Out of all my poetry, that one happens to be one of my personal favourites. I tried to let the cunning of real wolves inspire me when I described my lycanthropes hunting.

Richard,

What makes you think the hero didn't win? They did from my perspective.

To Rob

Rob, It was an unexpected pleasure to see my foray into essay humor selected by you for the best of 2010 features. I appreciate being included although surprised that you thought my contribution was worthy of note.

Thank you,

Mark

I was terribly amused by it the first time, so I figured it was worth a second go-round. :)

Thanks. The upgrade wasn't quite as awful as I'd feared it would be, but it was still a lot of work. (Enough so that it probably delayed the February issue by a few days, because it was eating up all my free time, and a small chunk of my un-free time. *grin*)

The writing workshop series by Seanan McGuire where she takes apart the engine of writing was so impressively insightful and professionally done, she really did all the work to set up a parody (tribute), just requiring me to say the opposite of what she was exposing.

It is remarkable she has not sold these essays in the marketplace. They would be an easy sale!

Re: Best of 2010

Iain, I want to thank you for picking 2 of my poems, I was surprised that RIDE A BROOM was one of them.

Nate thanks and that pick was appreciated. Your the flash contests give me ideas for expanded stories.

Again, thanks
