Nice to hear an australian voice here, with that typical laid back drawl. Reds could almost be a Queenslander...

Reds

This is what the American Western was supposed to be, before it got watered down like some Saloon whiskey. Very raw, very action oriented. Of course the Yowies could have been here on Earth - just creatures out there, in the deep wild, at 4 AM when the mist is just beginning to settle.
This tale does a good job of setting the scene and bringing the action home. Good job.
Since the house is on fire - at least let us warm ourselves.

Very good read! It seemed amazingly full for being as short as it was. Very skillfully done; a few words here and there to set character, scenery, and action. Very efficient and effective, and it all works!
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?
