Blood, Bears, and Canvas By P. F. White

Okay, this IS an anthro story. I had to check well past the intro to be sure it wasn't a metaphor.

But we have another language discussion here. First person vernacular, this time sounding like a cross between Rocky and James Thurber.

I thought when one slices off letters like the "g" in "evening" one needed an apostrophe to mark it. Evenin' .

I don't think Stephen King uses them apo-strofes

And Mr. King uses dialect quite a bit.

At first, I was abit caught off guard, and it took me a sec to understand what has happening, but after I figured out they where animals, all was well =P

Why the hell would a doc be chewing on leather like that I thought?

Anyways, as I sit here, listening to some music from pandora radio, I got captured. I enjoyed it, and can't wait for more =).

like Duck Tales by Robert E Howard

Mr. White's story is a real ripping yarn. I'd never have thought I'd be taken in by the anthropomorphic animal thing though I liked it when I was younger. But this is a great story.
