nice, story within a story, a review built in...kinda pre-empts Rob's editorial run i suppose.

still reading it, but the base does feel genuine, the living quarters description was very fetching and tangible, great sense of location.

the conference where reporters are recounting solar system history...afraid that was still a bit of an info depository, even though Michael makes it clear to us it's indeed grating. still, i suppose there was no getting around this really.

it took me a while to figure out some of the mechanics, like the simple fact that they're reading it together - i'm a bit slow on the uptake, yes.

well, the ending was a bit on the long side for me, but it kept up the style and added to the world-building through extra detail. very well written stuff, and the situations described quite fetching. however, i'd say it was too long. some of the basic elements were repeated one time too many, like the fact that Michael had a hard time believing it was really Seneca.
