Posted in the wrong place...

This should really have gone in the "Aphelion Authors Plug Their Work" topic in Administrivia... Posting it in this folder probably has people wondering where "Grimm Reality" was in the September Aphelion.

(By the way, what kind of hardware/software was used to do the recording? We haven't been doing much non-text stuff here, but it would be nice to know for future reference.)

Robert,

"Grimm Reality" is in Aphelion's September issue under poetry. I thought writers would like to hear audio versions of written works posted on the site.

There are lots of various types of equipment involved in audio production including Syntrillium and Audio Cleaning Lab systems.

The music is created through a music production house while the audio narrative is being recorded. I apply post editing techniques to adjust the spacing between each word and spoken phrases to change the inflection and pace of the vocal track. Then the sound effects are edited in. Once the music track is applyed, I use a compresser to bring out the surround sound dimensional effect. Then I use an equalizer to adjust the highs and low frequency of the production piece. I use other software to clean up and tighten the production to bring it to cd quality, but basically that's it.

Gotta start reading all the indexes, if not the content
