These days...

This post just to say that my mother, aged 87, just passed away last week at the hospital.

As she was not able anymore to breathe, eat, or even sleep, cause of her illness, Alzheimer, which, as we known, unfortunately ends up with turning people into empty boxes, the best thing that could happen to her was cease suffering once and for all.

She will be brought to the cemetery situated in a small though very old municipality in Lombardy, a northern region, as her long gone parents were already buried there, and her family was native to that area of Italy, so that she can now join their remains.

Re: These days...

It is good to share grief. It is sad to hear bad news.

At least the journey continues. Maybe the day of the funeral will smell of Spring with tree's in bud, a sign life always has its way over death.

I'm very grieved for your loss. No matter how long we have someone with us, it's never enough time.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. I know first hand what it feels like to lose a parent to a debilitating illness.
