Renewal 2018

Renewal is exhausting!

If you're in a good situation in life, you keep with part or all of it!

Tho' when it it is not ...

Allow me to quote from Survivor "Against the world" :

"... When your faith ... is shaken, you start ... to break, and your heart can't find the words..."

And so have I.

The complete meaning of my screen handle is truly terrifying!

I picked for myself a *devastating warning* just over twenty eight or so years ago. And I am here. Resting my head on the worn out seats of a tired old train trying to give its one last effort after being swapped routes to do its part to fix the New York City subway crisis of 2017... and becoming a renegade voice for life even more downtrodden and worn out than I...

For I trained on Harlan Ellison and Cordwainer Smith, on Damon Knight and Arthur C. Clarke - on rolling sentences read in my mind's ear with long voweled accents. And to do it, I shall draw upon the vision of one fella with a dream, who gathered more people with dreams ... *and would not let those dreams die!*

So here is a thread, to create emergence, by the sheer act of posting words to the ethereum, with no promises, for over-promising has costs, and to ask Castaneda's Midnight Eagle for one last chance to try!

SQWAWK!

Which soft-rhymes with YAWP!

Re: Renewal 2018

It's the entropy that will get you, bit by bit, the way it gets us all,
or all of us who live long enough to die of it.
It's not the few fallen to predatory megafauna,
it's the countless many whose scream of frustration and agony is over the moth-eaten garment or the worm-eaten apple--
it's the million microscopic bites taken by tiny things gnawing silently at the edges until we can no longer hold the center
and we scream because we are no longer tough and robust, but
RAW!
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?

Re: Renewal 2018

February 24 is here, and the journey continues!

So, I posted some notes over on the Index thread.

It might be a wise time now for me to become an Emeritus.

I too, shall remain, but my energy is intensely cyclical now, and it is the reliability I can no longer promise.

So two computers and my bed broke within a month! "What was that Buddha said about Impermanence of Things..."

But the desktop is repaired, the bed will be next month, and I am here!

Re: Renewal 2018

It is a good time to post an update here:

My health case has nearly stabilized, and lights at ends of dark caves are becoming apparent!

Grant me a few more months for more strength...

but all this will quite likely make me a more powerful writer. But at what a cost...
