Dragons Over Bastrop by Frank Minogue

I can't believe there wasn't already a topic for this little jewel.

It was a fun read, with believable characters and some excellent tongue-in-cheek humor.  

The whole dragon thing was ridiculous, but it was fairly obvious that it was meant to be.  On other fronts, it made sense from a psychological & sociological (if not a biological) perspective.  It was also well constructed and with little or no wasted effort.

I would like to read more of Mr. Minogue's work.
