Re: Are there any normal guys here?

I couldn't help but take the bait. It made me laugh. I'm just interested in your answers and nothing more. I'm way older, gray and very married.

What on your XYZ axis constitutes normal?
You're talking to writers, Science Fiction writers at that. What do you expect?
And, seriously, are you for real or is this one of those on line hooker things?

If you choose to answer, DO NOT PM. I will not answer.

And Lester, the rest of us still love you.

Sorry, Rick, no more Fanny. Don't feel bad; you can't carry on much of a relationship with machines anyway.

I just hope "Fanny" didn't tell all of his/her/its friends how to get in.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?

Re: Are there any normal guys here?

I hope it doesn't cause a cyber incident or issue.

I though the question was rather funny and quite possible real thinking of THE BIG BANG and Penny's early experience with Howard and Sheldon. And yeah, I know is was a sitcom. Still it was based upon certain acknowledged personality types and plausible situations, yes- no? It was funny.

I will say the down side of the show was that I could only run my joke once before everyone got to know what the Schrodinger Cat was. I ran an add in the pet section of the Washington Post for one back in 2004 for a SC as a birthday present to my self just to see the responses. It was kind of a hoot. One physics major called laughing asking my results too.

And as you noticed I did question the possibility or obliquely hint of a Russian sparrow spy type thing.

Re relationship with machines, consider David Bohm and "WHOLENESS and the IMPLICATE ORDER" as well as Carol Rovelli's, "REALITY IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS", and then think way back on one of Woody Allen's movie scenes where he abused his toaster and the elevator took revenge. Everything is connected at the quantum gravity level. And then if the machine is sentient AI, you have another issue.

I like to think I'm normal for the most part. However, my own mother did ask me what planet I was from after I read to her a part of a story I wrote. You would think that she would know, right??
