I enjoyed the selections. Admittedly I've only read a few but they were good reads. Thanks for picking one of mine as well!

So glad you recognized Winter in Ziegelberg as a top story for 2016. Great choice. Anyone who hasn't read that story needs to... especially this time of year when we should count our most basic blessings of warmth and shelter and food and clothing. But more than that, this story is SO well written that it rivals anything by Rod Serling or Richard Matheson. I could see this being a tale told by Serling in "Night Gallery". Thanks to all the staff of Aphelion!

Re: 'Best of' Selections for 2016

I’m lucky this time. All the best of 2016 I had read during the month they appeared in Aphelion. I should re-read them again but I don’t have the time. All the stories were good, very good in my opinion.

I like ‘The Wheel’ by David Allen Jones. I hope I’m not being a little bias toward him in this selection of stories, but I haven’t read any of his stories that I didn’t like, and in my case that’s about twelve years worth! He’s one of my favorites at Aphelion.

However, as I said before----all the stories were superb! Every author can be proud that his or her story is included in the Best Shorts of 2016.
