I enjoyed the way this curved around from sad and mournful to creepy and evil. And starting off with the image of a child's red dump truck immediately pulled me in without giving anything away.

Such an eerie, tightly wound story. Pretty impressive for something so short.

Flash, when well-written, can move a reader just as much as a short or long piece. To do so is trickier because of the economy of words required, but it certainly can be done.

I thought the author here did a marvelous job.
