Artificial Contemplation by Winston Van Lance

This is a multi-faceted, allegorical verse which works on so many levels.

The author refers to himself as an android, which can be taken on a physical or emotional level. Is he really a android with artificial intelligence or is he saying this because he merely feels like one and is drawing an analogy?

Good poetry can draw a distinction without committing to a premise, which is different from authors who write fiction who must establish boundaries to the universes they create. Poetry is perspective driven, which makes it often difficult for readers of fiction to appreciate.

I like this poem and the paths that the poet allows us to take.
