Short Story: Three Wishes by Ray Prew

This one is so simple it might be better marketed as a young teen story.
It's an abridged version of the perils of wishing, so rather than wish for more complexity, I'll go for instead identifying the target audience.
The only part that makes it not wholly suitable for children (maybe? In this age, are children "that innocent" anymore?), is the disease angle.
If that issue can be resolved, it then narrows down to a nice fable for about ages seven to nine.
