Anything by JE Deegan

Mr. Deegan writes with a poet’s hand in this horror fantasy. I like the images characterizing the lover --“jaws sprung wide as furnace doors.” The author paints him in the darkest colors, repeating “wicked” and “evil” throughout the story.

The action flows seamlessly and the suspense builds quickly. The story offers a logical resolution in terms of good versus evil. It evokes childhood memories of Wildwood boardwalk--that’s a good reason to read it.

Economically delivered. Primally satisfying. Well done.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?

This would make an excellent screenplay for a horror serial show (Twilight Zone, Outer Limits). Well done. I enjoyed it.
Remember: when people tell you something’s wrong or doesn’t work for them, they are almost always right. When they tell you exactly what they think is wrong and how to fix it, they are almost always wrong. – Neil Gaiman
