The Flies by John Rovito

This story should give me wonderful nightmares. I enjoyed the Jersey shore setting and the unfortunate protagonist who endures the ordeal. It reminded me of “The Birds” by Hitchcock.

Whether or not you know horror, give it a read.

That is creepy and tragic.
Remember: when people tell you something’s wrong or doesn’t work for them, they are almost always right. When they tell you exactly what they think is wrong and how to fix it, they are almost always wrong. – Neil Gaiman

Love this one! Very good description of the the insidious insects. I was so hoping the baby would live and glad that it did!

Excellent job; a classic tragedy. The last line made me laugh, about how all of our choices are wrong. Sometimes it does seem that way.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?
