The Crystal Ghost by Matt Spencer

That was . . . almost dizzying . . . Matt's descriptive prose is extraordinarily rich, and sometimes crude and profane, and sometimes disarmingly off-center. All of which I like, the off-center component especially. But I think he could stand to throttle it back just a tiny bit; the descriptive prose sometimes tends to overwhelm the action it's describing.

All-out, nonstop, high-speed adventure. Maybe a little light on character motivation, but you won't have time to worry about that until the ride ends.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?
