Uh-Oh by Robin Lipinski

"Uh-Oh by Robin Lipinski" sure does rhyme & sound like a Moody Blues song (Days Of Future Passed - The Day Begins)...you be the judge:

Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colours from our sight,
Red is gray and yellow white,
But we decide which is right.
And which is an illusion?
Pinprick holes in a colourless sky,
Let insipid figures of light pass by,
The mighty light of ten thousand suns,
Challenges infinity and is soon gone.
Night time, to some a brief interlude,
To others the fear of solitude.
Brave Helios wake up your steads,
Bring the warmth the countryside needs.

Just sayin'

Now that you mention it, there is a rythmic flow to his poem. The difference with the lyrics/narration you've mentioned is, Robin's poem means something. All of his poetry has underlying meanings. And he is by far, the most prolific poet I have ever known.

Makes me want to listen to that album again! Maybe I should record his poem and underscore it with music of a simular nature.

Good idea!

A song, a moody, a blue, a song...

So, what it is, that is, is that, I mean.
You know.
Talking the talk but can't remember shit?

A muse of recollection run flat beneath the rim
tilting back another bottle,
forgetting what I did.

She had it coming, her with her soft velvety skin.
He had in spades and thus Hades hunger was perfect for him.
Both married in sin while I?
Forgetting what I did.

Lost my house,
lost my job,
lost my dog, goldfish, and pet rabbit...
lost my mind,
lost my way of life...
Forgetting what I did.

(outside view looking in)

"Ha Ha Ha"
Say what?
"Man, get a fucking life!"

As the needle skips off the center
the vinyl record of life spins
waiting for the hand of God
to make it play again.
