Casa Vila is a small brick house
out in the wilds of Madison County, Georgia. It is situated roughly halfway between Athens and Danielsville along HWY 29 North.
The closest reference point on MapQuest, Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, or
Google Earth is a tiny unincorporated community named "Diamond Hill" -
Which consists of a couple of trailer parks, a convenience store, and a
pair of softball fields. The best route from the Atlanta area is to:
Head North on HWY 85
Turn right onto GA 316 East towards Athens
Turn right onto the 10 Loop / HWY 29 North around Athens Stay on HWY 29 North towards Danielsville, because the 10 Loop only circles Athens Look for the Diamond Hill Softball fields on your left , go roughly another half mile, then
Turn left onto Moons Grove Church Road and go roughly 7/10s (0.7) of a mile Casa Vila will be on your left, close to the road.
From Atlanta, it should be a 90 minute drive- Perhaps two hours if traffic on 316 is heavy.

have left Athens and are proceeding further Northwards on HWY 29:
This is
the driveway to the Ingles grocery store nearest to my house. You are
on HWY 29 North, looking north. Athens is behind you.
This second photo is just to the
right of the first photo. Same place, but you can see the Merchants
& Farmers Bank building and sign.
This is a wide view of the last intersection going out of Athens.
Same intersection, just a little
closer. Go straight through the light and continue on northwards. Once
you go through the intersection, you'll be 5.1 miles from my house.
You'll see this sign on the right hand side of the road.
This is the Diamond Hill Grocery store.
It's fairly small, just a convenience store and gas station.
Just a couple of hundred yards past the store, you'll see the softball field on your left.
Same softball field. Start slowing down after you take the next curve in the road past here.
When you see this sign, turn on your Left Turn signal.

That's the left turn you have to take. The street sign reads "Moons Grove Ch. Rd."
Turn left here and go up over that little hill.
Once you get past the top of that hill,
this is what you'll see. Start slowing down when you get to that curve
at the bottom of the hill.
Coming out of that curve, you can see
my yard on the left. There's a small green sign under the mailbox -
"751"
Turn left into the driveway, and you've arrived.
OK, you're here! We'll probably have more parking available than we need, so pull on into the driveway. Please don't park on the road,
or your car will probably get hit by some local idiot who drives too
fast for the road conditions. Remember, this is waaaaaay out in the
sticks and people who live here drive like they were NASCAR racers!
